More about the village and area
Cers is a lively village, only a 5 minutes drive from the Mediterranean.
Very much a "working" village, you will find a selection of shops such as bakers, a butcher, supermarket, newsagent and a pharmacy, as well as a Cafe and Restaurants. The nearby Canal du Midi has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is perfect for a walk in the shade of the plane trees or take a bicycle ride along the canal to Portiragnes, the closest beach, only 7.5km away. Other beaches can be found at Serignan and Valras. The beaches offer a range of activities such as surfing and a little bit further along the coast is Cap d'Agde and the Aqualand water park.

Place de la Madeleine in Beziers
The nearest large town is Beziers, which offers a host of entertainment and cultural activities. Don't miss the Feria in August, when the whole town celebrates a giant party, or the spectacular fireworks on July 13, in celebration of Bastille day
For the golfer there are several courses nearby: at Beziers, Golf St Thomas is a undulating 18 hole parkland course; the famous Championship course at Cap d'Agde is about 15 minutes drive away.
