Le Riou is an old farmhouse (Maison de Maitre), parts of which date back to the 17th century, standing in its own spacious grounds, surrounded by ancient trees, with the river Laudot running alongside and splashing over a small weir with a pool below it. With its creeper clad walls, white shutters and long low facade, it is a typical farmhouse of the region. Le Riou is ideal for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil holiday, as well as those seeking a more active one. Situated on the Lauragais plain, almost exactly halfway between Toulouse and Carcassonne, with a distant view of the Pyrenees, and a closer one of the Montagne Noire. The nearest shopping centre is Revel (4 kms), where there is also a public swimming pool.

     
     

The apartment is located on the ground floor, with its own entrance from the gravel drive. Through French windows you enter the large living and dining room, with comfortable sofas, day bed, TV and radio. An open plan kitchen, equipped with oven, electric hob, double sink, fridge, kettle and coffee maker completes the front part of the apartment. Guests are invited to make full use of the garden for alfresco dining, playing games, or just soaking up the sun and tranquility.

There are two bedrooms, both looking onto a terrace and the grounds. There is a shower room and separate WC. All rooms have electric heating for comfort during the cooler months. There is access to a washing machine.
